Furthermore, he believes that the Gi provides an added layer of complexity to BJJ. Thereby introducing countless variations of sweeps, chokes, and joint locks. Moreover, Omar’s methodology in Gi BJJ training is rooted in precision and patience. Ultimately leading to an understanding the vast array of techniques available through the kimono’s fabric.

On the other hand, when it comes to No-Gi BJJ training, Omar’s approach is distinctly dynamic and fluid. Without the Gi, he particularly focuses on the importance of body control. This is accomplished by utilizing underhooks, overhooks, and leg entanglements. Simultaneously, he trains his students to adapt to the fast-paced nature of No-Gi. Consequently, Omar’s No-Gi BJJ training is about harnessing the essence of movement, speed, and direct control. Thus, ensuring students are always one step ahead on the mat.
